October 13 “Grace and Peace Winter Women’s Shelter”
Speaker: Melody Perkins, Shelter Ministry Team Leader and Ministry Facilitator, Grace & Peace Fellowship
Melody Perkins, Leader of Grace and Peace Fellowship’s Shelter Ministry Team, will discuss the resources provided to women through their shelter. While Bethel has assisted by providing monthly meals, the services provided and the volunteer opportunities extend beyond cooking.
October 20 “Land Acknowledgment: How do we move from words to actions?”
Speaker: Deborah Bohlmann, Chair of the Bethel Mission Board
As Bethel prepares to adopt a Land and Peoples Acknowledgment statement at the Congregational meeting on November 10, how do we move beyond a statement to actions as individuals and a community. This Forum provides an opportunity to discuss how Bethel can learn more about the history of the Indigenous Peoples who lived on and cared for the land as well as ways to support these communities today.

This discussion continues our effort to learn more about the goals and opportunities for participation in Bethel Boards. Deborah Bohlmann will talk about the three-pronged mission identified for this year, the activities planned, and opportunities for others to become more involved in their efforts.
