- Remember that announcements should highlight information (and not be a litany of details)
- Details should be included in the worship bulletin and/or the Bethel Connection, and your announcement can point to those. (Reminder: to request your announcement, send email to submissions@bethelstl.org)
- Introduce yourself and the board/committee/organization you’re highlighting
- Aim for doing your announcement within 30 seconds… if it works for Madison Avenue, it’ll work for you
- Remember the journalist’s questions: who, what, why, when, where and how, with a special emphasis on ‘why’ it’s important to the congregation
- Offer to provide additional information after the service in the Narthex
