Happy 2026! This is the year that youth will register for the ELCA Youth Gathering happening in summer 2027.
When & Where is the Gathering? June 28-July 2, 2027 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Who can attend? Youth in grades 7-11 during the 2025-2026 school year are eligible to attend.
Why participate? The triennial ELCA Youth Gathering brings together thousands of ELCA youth for learning, faith formation, community building, service, and fun. The Gathering will help youth to see the bigger church– the church beyond Bethel and St. Louis.
What can attendees expect?
- Inspiring Worship: Large-scale, carefully curated worship experiences with music, sermons, and prayer.
- Interactive Learning: A huge exhibit hall with ministry partners, hands-on activities, virtual reality, and community projects.
- Meaningful Conversations: Small groups and shared experiences to discuss big questions about faith, life, and God’s calling.
- Service & Social Justice: Opportunities to serve communities, learn about global partners, and take action.
What is the theme? The theme is Imagine More (based on Ephesians 3:20). Imagine More : Love + Grace + Welcome + Joy + Courage
When does registration start? Preliminary conversations and info will be shared with eligible youth in summer 2026. Registration happens in fall 2026. SAVE THE DATE for June 28-July 2, 2027 (and travel time before and after) as you make plans for summer 2027.
What will it cost for attendees? Bethel is committed to making the trip affordable for everyone who wants to attend by fundraising through the Easter Breakfast, triennial Follies event (likely February 2027), and other periodic youth fundraising events and sales.
